Miss Pym Disposes - Crime At Christmas

Miss Lucy Pym, a popular author of pop psychology, has been invited to give a guest lecture at the college. Initially planning only a short stay, she becomes fascinated by the intense world of the students — full of ambition, discipline, and suppressed rivalries.

Among the final-year students, a scholarship to study abroad is creating pressure. The front-runner is Rietta Craven, calm and brilliant, though not the most sociable. Her rival, Pam Nash, is charming, well-liked, and clearly favored by some staff.

On the eve of the final exams, just before Christmas holiday begins, a tragic accident occurs: a student falls from a balcony during a rehearsal and dies. It appears to be a freak fall — but Miss Pym is not convinced.
